Orbitarion

Tick-based space strategy MMO

Command your planet. Forge alliances. Steal what isn't bolted down. Win the season.

What is Orbitarion?

Orbitarion is a competitive multiplayer strategy game where you control a single planet in a vast contested universe. Every 30 minutes a tick fires — resources flow, ships finish building, fleets move, battles resolve. Between ticks, you plan.

It's strategy MMO in the classic browser-MMO tradition (Planetia, Planetarion) reborn for mobile. No clicking speed, no real-time twitch reflexes. Skill is reading the board, anticipating your enemies, and outsmarting them three ticks ahead.

What's new in v2.0

Three big systems just went live alongside the speed-round beta.

Commander system

Every planet now has a Commander — pick one of four archetypes (Spymaster, Engineer, Tactician, Defender) and unlock traits across four tiers as the season progresses. Commanders shape your playstyle: extra build slots, scan bonuses, crit chance, armor saves, decoy fleets — all stack with your race and research choices. See the Newbie Guide for how to pick one.

Orbital Dominion

A galaxy-spanning hex map of strategic sectors that alliances fight over for Victory Points. Capture, garrison, hold. Adjacent sectors unlock outward from your foothold. Brand new in v2.0 — the long-game layer that runs alongside ticks.

Sytherian Cartel redesign

STC is reborn. The pirates now field steal-ships that hijack enemy vessels mid-battle — stolen ships immediately join your fleet and fight in the next round. Plus they finally get capture ships (Orbital Pod, Infiltrator) so they can grab orbitals like everyone else. Old resource raiding is gone.

Four races

United Earth Command

United Earth Command

Tag: UEC · Archetype: Tank

Heavy armor, devastating firepower, fires last but survives longest. The disciplined human superstate. Pick UEC if you want to be nearly impossible to break.

Bonus: +20% construction speed, +10% armor on all ships

Odonari Hive

Odonari Hive

Tag: ODO · Archetype: Stealth

A biological swarm civilization. Cloaked fighters, corvettes and frigates that hit before scanners notice them. Fragile individually, unstoppable in numbers.

Bonus: −1 tick ETA on all fleets, +15% research speed

The Aetherians

The Aetherians

Tag: ATH · Archetype: EMP

Masters of energy. Their EMP ships freeze enemies instead of destroying them, while kill ships fire first in every engagement. The battlefield controllers.

Bonus: +20% research speed, +10% EMP efficiency

Sytherian Cartel

Sytherian Cartel

Tag: STC · Archetype: Raid

Pirates, smugglers, opportunists. Their steal-ships hijack enemy vessels in combat — the only race that grows their fleet by fighting. Cheaper scanning, faster production.

Bonus: +15% ship production, 25% cheaper scanning
