Delete Account

You can permanently delete your Orbitarion account at any time. Account deletion is irreversible.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Orbitarion app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Profile
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  5. Tap Delete My Account
  6. Confirm by tapping Yes

Your account is immediately marked for deletion. The actual data removal happens within 30 days as required by our retention policy.

Option 2: Via email

If you cannot access the in-app option for any reason:

  1. Email [email protected] from your registered email address
  2. Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. We will confirm receipt and process the deletion within 30 days

What gets deleted

Permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your user account and login credentials
  • All planet data across all seasons (active and archived)
  • Your alliance memberships (current and historical)
  • Your email from all communication systems (newsletter, transactional)
  • Push notification tokens associated with your account
  • Your support email history (if you've contacted us)
  • Crash reports and performance data tied to your device
  • Your Commander Career profile with all lifetime statistics

What stays (and why)

A few categories of data may persist beyond your account deletion:

Data Reason How it's preserved
Hall of Fame entries Historical season records that reference your planet name Anonymized — your planet name is replaced with a generic identifier (e.g. "Deleted Commander")
Aggregated season statistics Statistics that don't identify you individually (race distribution per season, total battles per season) Retained indefinitely, no personal identifier
Battle logs in OTHER players' history When you participated in someone else's battle, that battle log is part of their game history too Your planet name appears but the data is theirs, not yours
Subscription records Swedish bookkeeping law requires 7-year retention of financial transactions Retained in accounting records, separate from game data
Legal/compliance records If your account had violations under Terms of Service, we retain enforcement records Retained for audit purposes, no in-game presence

If you want your planet name anonymized in past battle logs that other players can see, email [email protected] with your request — we can scrub specific records on request.

This action cannot be undone

Once your account is deleted, there is no recovery. We do not maintain "deleted account" archives. If you create a new account later with the same email, it starts from zero — no history, no Commander Career, no rank.

If you're considering deletion because of a temporary issue (frustration with a season, alliance drama, etc.), consider taking a break instead. Your planet will still be there when you return, and the next season starts fresh anyway.

Active subscriptions

Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your Premium subscription.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it BEFORE deleting your account:

iOS

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top)
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Premium Commander under Active Subscriptions
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap Payments & Subscriptions
  4. Tap Subscriptions
  5. Find Premium Commander
  6. Tap Cancel Subscription

After cancelling, you keep premium for the remainder of your already-paid period. You can safely delete your account afterward without continuing to be charged.

If you delete your account while a subscription is still active, you will continue to be charged at each renewal date until you cancel through the platform — Apple and Google bill independently of our app.

Active alliance memberships

If you're a member of an alliance:

  • Regular member: deletion automatically removes you. The alliance is unaffected
  • Officer (war commander, communications officer, recruitment officer): deletion removes you. Other officers and the founder continue normally
  • Founder: deletion automatically transfers the founder role to the highest-ranking remaining officer, or to the longest-serving member if no officers exist. If you're the sole member, the alliance is dissolved on your deletion

If you'd like to manually transfer the founder role to a specific person before deletion, do so through the Alliance settings in-app.

Privacy implications

Account deletion is one of your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically the right to erasure (Article 17). See Privacy Policy — Your rights for the full list of your data subject rights.

If you want to export your data first before deletion (also a GDPR right), email [email protected] with the subject "Data Export Request". We will provide your data in a structured format (JSON or CSV) within 30 days, free of charge.
